The terms and conditions for using Relocate in Europe: what you can expect from us, what we ask of you, and where the limits of a general guide lie.

General information, not advice

The guides, tools and figures on this site are general information for people moving to or within Europe. They are not legal, tax, financial or immigration advice for your individual situation, and reading them does not create a client relationship. Rules change, and your case may differ. Before you act, check with the authority named on the page or with a professional adviser.

How we keep the site accurate

Every guide is built on official sources – government agencies, statistics offices and the law – and names them. Rules are checked every Monday, and every page shows the date of its last update. Where a rule is only a proposal or a bill, the guide says so. If you find an error, write to editor@relocateineurope.com and we will check it; see our editorial policy for how corrections are handled. We cannot guarantee that a page reflects a change made after its update date.

The tools

The take-home pay calculator, the Schengen day counter, the country comparison and the moving checklist run in your browser on published rules and rates. They give an estimate for the standard case described on the tool. They do not replace the calculation an authority or an employer makes for you.

Partner content

Pages marked “Institutional partner” or “Professional services” are provided by the organisation named on the page, which is responsible for their content, and are labelled “Information provided by the organisation”. Partners pay for their pages. They do not influence our guides, and payment never means that we recommend or have verified a partner.
