Accessibility statement

Relocate in Europe is built to be read by everyone, on any device, with or without assistive technology. This is where we stand and how to tell us when something does not work.

VOR Media Technologies wants relocateineurope.com to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Last reviewed 24 September 2026.

What we have done

  • A “Skip to content” link is the first element on every page, and every page has one main heading with a clear hierarchy below it.
  • Everything can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
  • Text and background meet the contrast requirements in both light and dark mode; the site follows the mode your device uses.
  • Every photograph has a text alternative; decorative images are marked as such.
  • Tables carry proper header cells, and figures are never conveyed by colour alone – crime figures, for example, use neutral bars with the number beside them.
  • The site works without JavaScript: the pages, the guides and the city cards are in the HTML; the tools need JavaScript and say so.
  • Text can be enlarged to 200 per cent without loss of content, and pages reflow on narrow screens without sideways scrolling.
  • Fonts are served from the site itself, and the pages have no animation, autoplay or flashing content.

Known limitations

  • Some country pages are long; the “On this page” list at the top is there to jump within them.
  • Map buttons in the address books open an external map service, which has its own accessibility.
  • The take-home pay calculator and the Schengen counter present results in tables that a screen reader reads row by row; we are working on a spoken summary.
